# Future network refresh · 17 October 2026

[Review of all 11 imported Future services](../../docs/research/future-network-review-2026-10-17.md). Updated bilingual project notes, evidence and milestones in the registry. Line 5 has dated S3 construction evidence plus later EPC/design preparation; its drawing version is explicitly retained. Cần Giờ uses the newer reported 2029 operation target, with Q4 2028 retained as history and formal schedule revision unverified. Line 3.2 and Line 2A record 2027-start / 2030-completion ambitions separately from passenger opening. Other HCMC preparation sources are refreshed; no feature, station code, coordinate, transfer, route-ranking rule or simulation parameter changed. Earlier import accounts below describe their original evidence; current qualifications are in the linked review.

## Hà Nội Future Line 2 · reconciliation · 17 October 2026

Registry project information and both geography provenance records now distinguish
the retained 28-stop Nội Bài–Thượng Đình preview from the October predominantly
underground proposal continuing to Thượng Phúc/Hùng Vương. Consultation, contract
and wider end-2030 milestones are recorded. The earlier 2031 expectation is kept
as history; current phase-specific opening remains unresolved. No coordinate,
station code, section type or transfer was inferred from corridor-wide wording.
[Comparison, primary sources and remaining requirements](../../docs/research/hanoi-line-2-october-review.md).

## Bến Thành–Cần Giờ · 15 October 2026

`hcmc-ben-thanh-can-gio.geojson` and its station sidecar add the initial
**two-station** VinSpeed service in HCMC Future. The 2026 approved park/Ký Con /
Vĩnh Khánh approach supersedes the old northern route. A generalized southern
corridor uses EIA geographic area samples and OSM road context; 113 vertices span
approximately 53.60 km, including an illustrative 2.71 km underground approach.
These are approximate station/corridor areas, not engineering survey geometry.

[Import ledger and reliable sources](../../docs/research/hcmc-ben-thanh-can-gio.md)
record source versions, checksums, station positions, bridge construction evidence,
Q4 2028 target, absent official codes and the single planned Line 1 connection.
CG/graphite are app styling. Four later stations and depot branches are excluded.
The illustrative express model is separate from the published design speed and
from an official timetable. No station photograph, entrance or postal number is
invented. Today is unchanged; restart the backend to resolve new station IDs.

## Thủ Dầu Một–Tao Đàn · 14 October 2026

`hcmc-thu-dau-mot-tao-dan.geojson` and its station sidecar register the
October-approved **24-station C0–C23** corridor as a separate HCMC Future service.
C0–C10 are elevated; C11–C23 are underground. The registry retains the published
33.2 km project length separately from the generalized 31.688 km passenger span.
[Research and station table](../../docs/research/hcmc-thu-dau-mot-tao-dan.md)
record the approval, consultant overview, source-image checksum, affine controls,
proxy positions and mapping limits.

Station areas and 65 corridor bends are digitized from the consultant overview
and positioned using sourced nearby OSM controls. They may differ by hundreds of
metres from final station centres. No survey precision, future entrances or final
passenger-facing station names are claimed. Area labels are app descriptions;
C0–C23 are published project codes. OSM-derived coordinates retain ODbL provenance.
Purple is an app colour. Only the published planned Tao Đàn interchange is added;
other unimported proposed connections and depot branches remain excluded.

Today remains unchanged. Future supports the same station/address planning,
inspection and preview. Project stage **Route approved** is separate from `planned`
routing availability. Photos and entrances are absent until sourced, using the
shared compact card. The backend must restart to read the new registered station IDs.

## Shared station context · 14 October 2026

All four registered line sidecars explicitly classify existing descriptions as
station **areas**, not numbered postal addresses. The shared import/presentation
rules are documented in [station content](../../docs/station-content.md).

Line 2 now has area descriptions for all 17 stations. Western entries retain their
individual mapped OSM station sources. Nearby context also references the
[TRICC final project report, §6.4.1](https://www.scribd.com/document/885497947/Thuy%E1%BA%BFt-minh-tuy%E1%BA%BFn-Metro-s%E1%BB%91-2):
its Tân Bình description places the station on Trường Chinh before Tham Lương
Bridge, and its station-location table names the Trường Chinh–Tây Thạnh junction.
This historical report supports area/landmark descriptions, not current entrances,
ward boundaries or a new survey position. Existing station coordinates and routing
geometry were not changed. Eastern landmarks come from the already-cited project
plans beside the existing area descriptions.

Bến Thành cards on both lines can show the remote
[market-area photograph by Bahnfrend](https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Ben_Thanh_Market,_2023_(01).jpg),
captured 2 November 2023, licensed CC BY-SA 4.0. The thumbnail was inspected during
curation; it shows the market frontage, not a completed future Line 2 station.
The existing Line 1 station photograph stays first. The market's separately sourced
[building coordinate](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/B%E1%BA%BFn_Th%C3%A0nh_Market)
is used for its nearby-place pin; the photograph's camera coordinate is not used.
Other stations use their existing remote station photos or compact context cards.
No generic city photos, unlicensed press images or invented landmark coordinates
were added. Future renderings are supported by the schema but none was imported.

## Geographic sources

The packaged route follows mapped railway geometry, including its curves. Station dots are mapped station positions projected onto that geometry for consistent train stops.

- Underground railway: [OSM way 493251147](https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/493251147), retrieved through [GeoView's geometry mirror](https://vn.geoview.info/uong_sat_o_thi_so_1_thanh_pho_ho_chi_minh_phan_oan_ben_thanh_suoi_tien,10493251147w).
- Elevated railway: [OSM way 469364067](https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/469364067), retrieved through [GeoView's geometry mirror](https://vn.geoview.info/uong_sat_o_thi_so_1_thanh_pho_ho_chi_minh_phan_oan_ben_thanh_suoi_tien,10469364067w). Reversed in the dataset to run from Bến Thành toward Bến xe Suối Tiên.
- Station points: OSM-derived `poi` features with `class=railway`, `subclass=subway` from GeoView's publicly served OpenMapTiles-format vector tiles at zoom 14. All 14 positions were obtained from these mapped features. Individual OSM object types/IDs are retained on every station feature. The exact tile URLs and SHA-256 checksums are recorded in `line-1.geojson`.
- Street-map background: standard OpenStreetMap raster tiles, fetched only for the visible viewport. Attribution stays visible on the map. Public tiles require HTTP(S) viewing and internet; they are not packaged or downloaded for offline use. [Tile service policy](https://operations.osmfoundation.org/policies/tiles/).

The packaged data contains nine underground geometry points, 164 elevated geometry points, and 14 station points. The sections share a mapped endpoint. No station-to-station straight-line substitute was used to draw the railway.

It records the earlier Suối Tiên station's rename to Đại học Quốc gia.
- [JICA route brochure](https://www.jica.go.jp/vietnam/office/others/pamphlet/ku57pq0000221kma-att/hcm_metro_line1_vn.pdf): supporting route overview. It uses older naming and some different station chainages, so its labels were not copied wholesale.

The station order is Bến Thành → Nhà hát Thành phố → Ba Son → Công viên Văn Thánh → Tân Cảng → Thảo Điền → An Phú → Rạch Chiếc → Phước Long → Bình Thái → Thủ Đức → Khu Công nghệ cao → Đại học Quốc gia → Bến xe Suối Tiên.

## Accuracy and operation

- Mapped station points sit approximately 1–12 meters from the supplied railway path before projection. These offsets describe internal dataset consistency, not measured accuracy against real-world surveys.
- The calculated passenger span between projected station points is approximately **18.85 km**. The official **19.7 km** project figure uses a different extent/reference; the app does not stretch the geographic path to force that total. Long Bình depot is outside the simulated passenger journey.
- Source geometry is simplified. Station points represent mapped station locations, not particular entrances or the complete platform footprint. Tunnel geometry and every curve have not been checked against engineering survey data or recent aerial imagery.
- The Google/OSM visual accuracy comparison could not be completed in this environment. This dataset does not establish that one background provider is more accurate across HCMC.
- One marker represents a simulated train on the line alignment. Separate directional tracks, switches, train lengths and track occupancy are not modelled.
- Speed limit, acceleration, braking, station dwell and terminal turnaround values in `network.json` are explicit simulation assumptions. Playback defaults to 10×; 1×, 5× and 30× are available. This is not a published timetable or live tracking.

## Adding or refreshing a line

1. Add an ordered GeoJSON FeatureCollection: railway LineStrings carry `kind`, `order`, `section`; station Points carry a stable `id`, `order`, English/Vietnamese `names`, `section`, and source IDs.
2. Add the line definition to `network.json`, including its data filename, number, color, expected station count and simulation assumptions.
3. Record geometry sources, retrieval dates, licensing and known uncertainties in the dataset's `provenance` and this document.
4. Run `npm run compose`. The input boundary checks geographic coordinates, connected sections, station alignment/order and simulation settings before publishing.

Normal builds use the saved dataset and make no geographic-data requests. Refreshing data is an explicit research/edit operation; future builds should not silently replace it with current external data.

# Station cards and online photographs · 13 October 2026

`line-1.stations.json` adds bilingual physical location descriptions, nearby landmarks, source/checked dates and curated online photo metadata for all 14 stations. The registry's optional `stationDetails` field names this sidecar. It does not change the recorded railway or station geometry.

Locations are based on the [operator's environmental permit report](https://thamvan.mae.gov.vn/Uploads/16122024/1I%28Scan%29%20B%C3%A1o%20c%C3%A1o%20%C4%91%E1%BB%81%20xu%E1%BA%A5t%20c%E1%BA%A5p%20GPMT_B%E1%BA%BFn%20Th%C3%A0nh%20Su%E1%BB%91i%20Ti%C3%AAn.pdf), physical pages 19–20 (station location table). These are street/junction/landmark locations, not independently verified numbered postal addresses. Historical district/ward labels are omitted to avoid presenting old administrative boundaries as current addresses. The [government's road-renaming announcement](https://tphcm.chinhphu.vn/xa-lo-ha-noi-chinh-thuc-khoac-ten-moi-101230823115413686.htm) supports Võ Nguyên Giáp wording between Sài Gòn Bridge and the Thủ Đức crossroads.

Bến Thành public entrance descriptions (1, 2, 3 and 6) come from [HURC's public station information](https://hurc.metrohcm.ttgt.vn/). Emergency-only accesses 4 and 5 are excluded. Exact entrance coordinates are currently `null`: the available operator descriptions do not provide verified map points, and OSM/Overpass retrieval did not succeed during this research. The UI lists descriptions; entrance pins and Show entrance appear only when a sourced coordinate is supplied. Station centers and photographer GPS locations are never substituted for entrance coordinates. Other stations currently have no curated entrance descriptions.

Photos were selected from [Wikimedia Commons station categories](https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Ho_Chi_Minh_City_Metro_stations) and the [Line 1 collection](https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Ho_Chi_Minh_City_Metro_Line_1), using the public [Imageinfo API](https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/API:Imageinfo) for original/thumbnail URLs, author, date and licence metadata. The station sidecar links each exact file description and licence. No station photo files are downloaded into the repository or embedded into either build. Card thumbnails and requested full-size views load directly from Wikimedia when needed; source and licence links open externally.

Each photo retains its stated author, licence and capture date. CC0, CC BY 4.0 and CC BY-SA 4.0 files are represented. The app shows the whole photograph with `object-fit: contain`, captions historical/pre-opening photographs accordingly, and includes attribution/links in both the card and enlarged view. An Phú, Rạch Chiếc, Phước Long, Khu Công nghệ cao and Đại học Quốc gia currently use pre-opening photos. Bình Thái uses a train/railway view rather than an entrance photo. Photo identities were checked against published descriptions/categories; the chosen images were not visually reviewed in a browser during this revision.

The Đại học Quốc gia category also contains an unrelated Hanoi file; that file was excluded. Category membership alone is not enough to identify a station. Replacing photos remains an explicit editorial update to the dataset, not an automatic search during app use.

[Wikimedia reuse guidance](https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Reusing_content_outside_Wikimedia) permits direct embedding but does not recommend relying on hotlinking. This prototype deliberately uses remote URLs after that trade-off was discussed. URLs may disappear or change, internet is required, and photo loading has an unavailable state. Hosting licensed copies on controlled online storage/CDN can later replace URLs without changing the card component. Browser caching is normal; no offline photo prefetch is added.

## Community mapped walking access · 13 October 2026

The registry additionally names `line-1.access.json`: 25 OSM subway-entrance points associated by proximity with eight stations. These came from the GeoView vector tile mirror already used for railway/station geometry. Each point records its OSM node ID, source URL, exact tile URL/checksum and retrieval date. Station association is an inference; underlying edit dates, full native node tags, public access and entrance numbers were not confirmed. One explicit level-1 point at Công viên Văn Thánh was excluded; unknown levels remain approximate.

These points never inherit the operator's numbered descriptions or claim field verification. Bến Thành numbered coordinates remain null. Dotted walking geometry follows Geoapify's pedestrian network only when it connects within 25 m of both requested endpoints; no path to a station centre is fabricated. Successful routing is not verification of public or step-free access. Missing coverage remains visible. See [method and limits](../../docs/research/entrance-mapping.md). OpenStreetMap source data remains under [ODbL](https://www.openstreetmap.org/copyright).

# Hà Nội · Line 2A · 13 October 2026

`hanoi-line-2a.geojson`, `hanoi-line-2a.stations.json` and `hanoi-line-2a.access.json` are registered as `hanoi-line-2a`, city `hanoi`. The passenger route runs **Cát Linh → Yên Nghĩa**, with 12 elevated stations. Cát Linh–Hà Đông is the operator's commercial route name; Yên Nghĩa is the terminal used in boarding directions.

The [operator's station listing](https://metrohanoi.vn/) supplies the order: Cát Linh → La Thành → Thái Hà → Láng → Thượng Đình → Vành Đai 3 → Phùng Khoang → Văn Quán → Hà Đông → La Khê → Văn Khê → Yên Nghĩa. The [July 2026 operator report](https://metrohanoi.vn/ha-noi-metro-ghi-nhan-tang-truong-tich-cuc-trong-6-thang-dau-nam-2026-tiep-tuc-nang-cao-tien-ich-va-chat-luong-phuc-vu-hanh-khach/) confirms operating service. Future extensions, depot branches and future metro interchanges are excluded.

## Railway and station geography

Geographic data remains © OpenStreetMap contributors under [ODbL](https://www.openstreetmap.org/copyright). The alignment preserves mapped curves rather than joining station centres with straight lines.

- [OSM way 684352030](https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/684352030), through [GeoView](https://vn.geoview.info/hanoi,10684352030w): northern alignment toward Láng, reversed for the passenger ordering.
- [OSM way 1120703707](https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/1120703707), through [GeoView](https://vn.geoview.info/hanoi,11120703707w): Láng–Nguyễn Trãi alignment, reversed.
- [OSM way 1120703708](https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/1120703708), through [GeoView](https://vn.geoview.info/hanoi,11120703708w): short connecting elevated segment, reversed.
- [OSM way 207318370](https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/207318370), through [GeoView](https://vn.geoview.info/hanoi,10207318370w): southwestern alignment toward Yên Nghĩa.
- The short northern passenger alignment around Cát Linh comes from the bridge/subway transportation feature `6843520302`, first mapped path, in [GeoView vector tile 14/13008/7212](https://vn.geoview.info/tiles/14/13008/7212.pbf). Transportation features may merge multiple upstream ways, so its encoded feature ID is retained rather than asserting a native way ID for that complete tile path. The path meets the geometry mirror within approximately 7 m and is clipped to the mapped terminal projection.
- All 12 station points come from railway/subway POIs in six OpenMapTiles-format vector tiles. Individual OSM node IDs remain on station features. Tile URLs and SHA-256 checksums, geometry source IDs and mirror HTML checksums are recorded in the GeoJSON provenance.

The saved passenger alignment contains **183 points** and measures approximately **12,708 m** between projected terminal stations. Station-to-alignment offsets are approximately **0.7–7.3 m**. These measure internal source consistency, not survey accuracy. Source simplification, tile precision and joins remain approximate.

The [published project length](https://vqh.hanoi.gov.vn/index.php?language=vi&nv=news&op=tin-lien-ket/lay-y-kien-cong-dong-ve-phuong-an-keo-dai-tuyen-metro-2a-3354.html) is **13.05 km**. This import uses mapped terminal station centres as its passenger extent; it does not establish the project's exact length reference or stretch geometry to match it. Native OSM API/Overpass retrieval did not succeed, so full native tags and current object edit dates were not verified. The initially checked central mirror reports an edit timestamp of 20 November 2025; retrieval date is not an assertion of recent upstream edits.

## Station locations and photographs

All 12 cards contain English/Vietnamese physical locations and nearby landmarks from their individual operator pages, linked and dated in the sidecar. Locations describe streets, junctions and landmarks; numbered postal addresses and current ward boundaries are not claimed. Historical timetable, bus-route and planned interchange claims on those pages were not imported.

Five stations have operator-described pavement/stair access: La Thành, Láng, Vành Đai 3, Hà Đông and La Khê. Coordinates remain `null`; these descriptions are separate from community mapped points and are not assigned invented entrance numbers.

Each card includes a remote Wikimedia photo selected using the Commons Imageinfo API. The individual file's author, licence, source URL and capture date are saved. All 12 selected files are by **Tttrung**, licensed **CC BY-SA 4.0**, photographed in November/December 2021 after opening. Captions identify historical photos; Thượng Đình uses a platform panorama, while the other cards use exterior/frontage photographs. All selected thumbnails were inspected locally for station identity/context during data curation. No photo bytes are stored in the repository or embedded in builds.

The Commons Láng category includes an unrelated historical American railway photograph; it was excluded. Văn Khê panoramas have conflicting Hà Đông descriptions; the unambiguous `Ga Văn Khê.jpg` file was chosen instead. Remote photos can become unavailable. Two thumb-host requests failed during research; their equivalent Wikimedia upload-host thumbnail URLs were retrieved and used. Existing image loading/failure and attribution components handle the files.

## Approximate walking access and simulation

The access sidecar supplies **43 distinct community mapped entrance points across all 12 stations**, extracted from the same six vector tiles. Association uses the nearest station within 300 m, with the next station at least 100 m farther away. Exact source tiles/checksums, node IDs and retrieval dates are retained per point. Explicit nonzero levels are excluded; unknown levels remain approximate. Native access tags, operator entrance numbers, public opening and step-free access were not verified.

These points enable pedestrian-routing requests through the existing city-scoped service. A returned route still needs the shared endpoint connectivity checks; having an entrance point does not guarantee a usable walking route. No integrated Geoapify requests were made for this import. No extra service key, dependency, per-city budget or runtime data-fetch process was added.

Line 2A has explicit model settings: maximum speed 60 km/h, acceleration 0.8 m/s², braking 0.9 m/s², 30-second station dwell and 60-second terminal dwell. These are modelling choices, not the published timetable or technical limits. The green display colour `#008a4b` is app styling, not a verified official brand specification. The map's train marker is schematic; fleet-specific Hanoi 3D modelling remains separate from this dataset.

# Hà Nội · Line 3 operating segment · 13 October 2026

`hanoi-line-3.geojson`, `hanoi-line-3.stations.json` and `hanoi-line-3.access.json` register **Nhổn → Cầu Giấy**, with eight elevated stations, under the existing Hanoi city. The stable line ID is `hanoi-line-3`, display number `3`; the operator's current service designation **3.1** is recorded in provenance.

The [operator's July 2026 report](https://metrohanoi.vn/ha-noi-metro-ghi-nhan-tang-truong-tich-cuc-trong-6-thang-dau-nam-2026-tiep-tuc-nang-cao-tien-ich-va-chat-luong-phuc-vu-hanh-khach/) identifies the operating service as Nhổn–Cầu Giấy. [MRB's August 2026 anniversary report](https://mrb.hanoi.vn/2-nam-dong-hanh-cung-thu-do-tuyen-dsdt-3-1-nhon-ga-ha-noi-phuc-vu-gan-14-2-trieu-luot-hanh-khach-64.html) confirms continuing elevated operation. Names/order follow the [operator's network listing](https://metrohanoi.vn/): Nhổn → Minh Khai → Phú Diễn → Cầu Diễn → Lê Đức Thọ → ĐH Quốc gia Hà Nội → Chùa Hà → Cầu Giấy. The university station's app ID/name explicitly distinguish it from HCMC's university station.

Kim Mã, Cát Linh, Văn Miếu and Ga Hà Nội are not included as operating stops. There is no current metro interchange between the two Hanoi lines in the app. Depot tracks are excluded. Commissioning announcements must be checked before extending the operating dataset.

## Geography

The passenger alignment uses three connected OSM-derived ways, in order, via GeoView's mirror:

- [Way 872332846](https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/872332846), [geometry mirror](https://vn.geoview.info/uong_sat_o_thi_3_ha_noi_phan_oan_nhon_ga_ha_noi,10872332846w): Nhổn through the western section.
- [Way 1361646392](https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/1361646392), [geometry mirror](https://vn.geoview.info/hanoi,11361646392w): short elevated connection over the road junction.
- [Way 1361646390](https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/1361646390), [geometry mirror](https://vn.geoview.info/hanoi,11361646390w): eastern section through Cầu Giấy.

Source endpoints meet exactly. The saved geometry is clipped to the mapped terminal station projections and contains **95 points**, preserving mapped curves. All eight station points come from railway/subway POIs in three OpenMapTiles-format vector tiles. Node IDs, exact tile URLs/checksums, mirror HTML checksums and retrieval date are retained in the GeoJSON. OSM data remains © contributors under [ODbL](https://www.openstreetmap.org/copyright).

The calculated station-centre passenger span is approximately **7,673 m**, with station-to-railway offsets approximately **2.1–4.0 m**. This describes source consistency, not survey accuracy. The published elevated-section length is **8.5 km** and has a different extent/reference; it is not forced onto the mapped station-centre span. The [project environmental report](https://thamvan.mae.gov.vn/Uploads/12072024/MHBC%20cap%20GPMT%20Nhon-Ga%20HNf.pdf), physical PDF page 26, lists terminal chainages whose difference is 7,679 m. That close agreement supports internal extent consistency but is not independent survey verification. Source geometry is simplified; full native tags and upstream freshness were not verified.

## Station information and online photos

The same project report, physical PDF pages 95–98, associates each station's drainage connection with its adjacent street: Cầu Diễn/QL32 for S1–S3, Hồ Tùng Mậu for S4–S5, Xuân Thủy for S6, and Cầu Giấy for S7–S8. Cards use these physical street descriptions in both languages. The report contains a copied ward/district entry at S5; historical administrative labels are omitted. Report outfall coordinates are not entrance coordinates and were not imported. Operator station pages' copied Line 2A timetable text was also excluded. Numbered postal addresses and exact entrance numbers are not asserted.

Nhổn's university-area landmark follows the report's route description. Cầu Giấy's zoo/Thủ Lệ landmark is supported by the selected photographer's file description. Other cards have no invented landmarks; the shared card renderer hides an empty landmark row. Curated operator entrance descriptions remain empty for this line.

Eight photos were selected through Commons Imageinfo metadata and inspected as thumbnails during curation. Photos are from August 2024, after commercial opening: exterior views at Nhổn, Chùa Hà and Cầu Giấy; platform panoramas at Minh Khai, Phú Diễn, Cầu Diễn and ĐH Quốc gia Hà Nội; and a train at Lê Đức Thọ. Panoramas are shown whole and can be enlarged. Captions distinguish platforms/train views from exteriors and identify the historical year.

Six selected files are by **Tttrung** under **CC BY 4.0**, Chùa Hà is by **Virtual trip** under **CC BY 4.0**, and the Lê Đức Thọ train view is by **TheNetheriteGuy** under **CC0**. Exact original/thumbnail, description and licence URLs, author and capture date remain in each station's sidecar. No image bytes are stored in the repository or embedded into exports; existing remote loading/failure and attribution remain in use.

## Access, simulation and configuration

The access sidecar contains **34 distinct community mapped entrance points across all eight stations**, collected from the same three station-source tiles. Nearest-station association requires distance at most 300 m and a 100 m margin over the next station. Explicit nonzero levels are excluded; unknown levels remain approximate. Native access restrictions, entrance numbering, public opening and step-free access are unverified. Points retain OSM IDs, tile URLs/checksums and retrieval dates. A valid pedestrian path still depends on the provider network and existing endpoint-connectivity checks; no integrated Geoapify calls were made for this import.

Line 3's speed/acceleration/braking/dwell settings are explicit model choices, matching the Line 2A modelling baseline. Ride estimates and animated positions are not a timetable or live feed. The olive display colour `#6b7a12` distinguishes the line and keeps light badge text readable; it is app styling, not a claimed official brand specification. The map marker remains schematic and the existing HCMC 3D illustration remains independent.

Hanoi's existing line chooser appears from having two registered operating lines. Each line retains separate trip/preview/exploration state. Address search stays city-scoped and the request budget remains shared. Selecting the most practical line automatically or routing between the two lines remains a later planning feature.

# HCMC Metro 2 · Future mode · 13 October 2026

`hcmc-line-2.geojson` registers the under-construction Bến Thành–Tham Lương project separately from operating passenger services. Eleven sourced stop positions run from Bến Thành to Tân Bình. Native railway coordinates come from the Geofabrik Vietnam OSM snapshot of 12 October 2026, including route relation 21239293 and main-line ways 1550350751 / 1550350749. Recorded curves are preserved; depot branches are excluded.

The UI shows **under construction**, **target end-2030 passenger service**, **11.3 km published project length**, checked date and direct project/position sources. The normalized main-track extent is approximately 10,269 m, with 9,851 m between terminal stop positions. Published length and measured map extent are kept distinct. All 11 imported station nodes sit on the main track; this validates internal consistency, not positional accuracy.

**Coordinates are community mapped, not survey verified.** Official updates confirm construction corridors, station count and target timing but do not establish exact centroids or public entrance locations. Seven-decimal source coordinates are not a claim of metre-level accuracy. Future entrance coordinates, photographs and walking paths remain unconfirmed. Explicitly labelled train/journey previews use app assumptions recorded in project metadata; these are not official timetable data. Colour is app styling. Future reuses Find Route and Explore line, including station/place selection, rail-direction/stop/distance results, estimated ride time and simulated playback. Only explicit future-preview calculations can use future lines; Today remains restricted to operating services. Place recommendations use the future station set. Future station-area connections request paths over current streets toward planned positions; future public entrance access remains unconfirmed.

The full-width project information below journey content includes milestone status and conditional opening expectations. Each milestone links the published 5 October 2026 city media-center report; completed/underway/planned labels are independent of target year. Simulation values are modelling assumptions and are shown separately from project facts.

# HCMC Line 2 · eastern extension · 14 October 2026

The current registry composes the original western file above with `hcmc-line-2-east.geojson` into one future **Tham Lương–Thủ Thiêm Line 2**. There are 17 unique stations: the existing 11 plus six beyond Bến Thành. The served western terminal remains the mapped **Tân Bình** station; the project name refers to Tham Lương. All original platform IDs and the Line 1 interchange remain intact.

The eastern dataset contains five station-reference points transcribed from the published environmental report's drawings and one approximate station-area proxy at Thủ Thiêm. Source VN-2000 coordinates and transformation metadata are recorded alongside each point. The generalized railway follows the published corridor and ends at Thủ Thiêm. All six new platforms are underground; no Long Thành route is added. See the [source ledger and coordinate table](../../docs/research/hcmc-line-2-east.md).

Project phases distinguish western construction from the eastern groundbreaking ceremony. The latter does not establish active tunnel/station construction. Published project lengths total 17.3 km; they remain distinct from measured passenger geometry. Both phases target 2030, with western passenger opening at end-year and eastern completion stated only by year. New cards contain bilingual street/area descriptions and source links, without fabricated entrances or photos. Composed geometry retains the western ODbL attribution and both provenance records.

# Bình Dương–Suối Tiên · Future import · 14 October 2026

`hcmc-binh-duong-suoi-tien.geojson` imports the published consultant **S1–S17** main corridor with 17 elevated stations, 55 generalized route vertices and a 27.14 km mapped passenger span. Later S0A/S0B and depot branches are excluded. The detailed September station drawings remain the location evidence; the October government update still records investment preparation, not verified final approval or physical construction. Different 30.66 / 30.91 / 32.8 km project totals are recorded separately from passenger geometry.

Station codes and published chainages come from the original consultant table; app names describe surrounding areas. The green colour is app styling. Bilingual station cards link individual drawings and describe roads/landmarks, with no fabricated photos, public entrances or postal numbers. The [source ledger](../../docs/research/hcmc-binh-duong-suoi-tien.md) records scope, drawing checksums, pixel samples, affine controls and position limits. OSM-derived geographic controls are attributed under ODbL; no source images are bundled.

One explicit planned **S5 ↔ C0** transfer joins Thủ Dầu Một–Tao Đàn, with a 300-second model allowance. **S17 is approximately 1.97 km from the existing Suối Tiên terminal**, and its proposed onward Đồng Nai rail connector is not imported. The terminal coordinate is a background georeferencing control, not a transfer edge. Shared station-area routing uses current streets toward saved approximate planned positions after the backend reloads its registry. Train timing is simulated, with the existing 65 km/h baseline rather than a claimed project timetable.

# Station code review · all lines · 14 October 2026

Hanoi Line 3 now uses sourced **S1–S8** project identifiers, mapped explicitly in JICA's operations manual and corroborated by Hanoi's operating announcement. HCMC Line 2 retains its 17 project codes. HCMC Line 1 and Hanoi Line 2A retain stable numeric display labels: the common L1-/C-prefixed formats were located in independent guides but not verified as operator/project codes. See the [coverage and source ledger](../../docs/research/station-codes.md).

Each line's registry review records status, date, bilingual findings and sources. All future imports must supply this review, including an explicit unresolved finding when needed. Published codes, stable fallback labels and routing sequence are separate fields; reversal, composition and operating-service replacement preserve code identity. No new station, geography, operating scope or transfer is introduced by this review.

# Metro 6 · Tân Sơn Nhất–Phú Hữu · 14 October 2026

- `hcmc-line-6.geojson` imports the 17-station phase 1 proposal, ST01–ST13 underground and ST14–ST17 elevated. Published project scope is 22.9 km; digitized passenger span is 22.16 km. Project approval and construction remain targets in the [October MAUR report](https://tphcm.chinhphu.vn/chuan-bi-khoi-cong-them-3-tuyen-metro-dai-gan-91-km-101261002170840728.htm).
- Station codes, road context and geometry come from the [MAUR overview](https://media-cdn-v2.laodong.vn/storage/newsportal/2026/9/8/1763415/Metro-So-6-Tan-Son-N.jpg) and individual station drawings linked in every feature/sidecar. Manually sampled pixels, two-control metric similarity, proxy adjustments and checksum are embedded for reproducibility. Coordinates may differ by hundreds of metres.
- Three planned interchange records connect Bà Quẹo, Bình Thái and ST08/C17. The last uses the newer October Thủ Dầu Một corridor identity; an older drawing calls that crossing line Line3. Transfer timing is a 300-second app allowance.
- `hcmc-line-6.stations.json` supplies bilingual road/landmark areas. No verified public entrances, numbered postal addresses, final passenger names or licensed photos are asserted. Gold colour is app styling. Depot and unimported onward branches are excluded.
- [Full source ledger and coordinate method](../../docs/research/hcmc-line-6.md). OSM-derived controls retain ODbL attribution; referenced source drawings are not bundled as app assets.

# Thủ Thiêm–Long Thành · Future import · 14 October 2026

- `hcmc-thu-thiem-long-thanh.geojson`: 14 initial passenger stops including shared Thủ Thiêm S01, through airport S19; 37.30 km generalized passenger span. The published 14-station first-phase construction count includes S20 shell only, so it does not mean 14 newly equipped passenger stops. Removed S06, deferred S13/S15/S16/S18, S20 fit-out and depot are excluded.
- [Arup–GMDI–Thành Công overview](https://cdn2.tuoitre.vn/471584752817336320/2026/8/20/base64-17872115414851550220826.png) and [published station table](https://cdn2.tuoitre.vn/471584752817336320/2026/8/20/base64-1787213904011255979045.png) establish route, codes, chainages and phases. GeoJSON retains image checksums, sampled pixels, three-control affine coefficients and proxy sources. Underground approaches are approximate; no surveyed accuracy is asserted.
- The [7 October government direction](https://baochinhphu.vn/day-nhanh-tien-do-du-an-san-bay-long-thanh-va-cac-tuyen-giao-thong-phuc-vu-ket-noi-102261007102554096.htm) calls for expedited research/implementation; final approval, physical construction and passenger opening remain unverified. 2030 is a completion goal. Official consultation attachments were unavailable during this check and are not claimed as coordinate evidence.
- Two planned transfers: S01 / Line 2 ST06E and S04 Vành đai 2 / Metro 6 ST17. S05 Phú Hữu track joining is separate and does not create an invented passenger transfer or through-running claim.
- Bilingual station-area sidecar, no invented entrances/photos. Indigo and badge LT are app choices. [Full research, phase scope and geographic limits](../../docs/research/hcmc-thu-thiem-long-thanh.md).

# Hanoi Line 3 · Future completion · 15 October 2026

- `hanoi-line-3-future.geojson` supplies one 12-station Nhổn–Ga Hà Nội service, replacing the shorter operating route only in Future. The original eight operating positions, S1–S8 identifiers and alignment are retained, with `operatingStationId` aliases inheriting their photos and community access metadata. Today remains Nhổn–Cầu Giấy.
- GeoView's OSM way geometries **965311521**, **885556425** and **885556428** supply the approach, portal and underground railway. Retrieved page checksums and URLs are embedded. New S9–S12 coordinates use native OSM stop nodes from the cached Geofabrik snapshot of 12 October 2026; source range/checksum and native IDs are recorded. All geographic derivatives retain ODbL attribution. The mapped transition between elevated approach and tunnel is generalized, not an engineering depth profile.
- The track is clipped at the S12 platform projection, removing approximately **317 m** of beyond-platform tail. The mapped passenger span is about **11.94 km**; **12.5 km** is the separate published main-line project length. Neither coordinate precision nor successful dataset validation establishes surveyed accuracy.
- `hanoi-line-3-future.stations.json` adds four bilingual street/area cards. No entrance numbers, public access or photos are fabricated. New stations use the shared current-street station-position fallback; existing platforms retain sourced access points.
- The planned **Cát Linh Line 2A / Line 3** transfer is sourced to published project reporting. Its **300 seconds** is an app allowance, not a verified walking time or through-running train service. Operating sections retain operating estimates/availability; new sections use explicit model assumptions and Future notices.
- Tunnel boring completion is confirmed for **13 April 2026**. End-2027 passenger opening remains a published target; station/system completion, testing and acceptance are distinct. [Full source ledger, station coordinates and limitations](../../docs/research/hanoi-line-3-future.md).

# Hanoi Line 2.1 · Future import · 15 October 2026

This record describes the original retained phase. The Line 2.2 continuation below now extends Future to Thượng Đình with 16 stops and a planned Line 2A transfer.

- `hanoi-line-2-future.geojson` and its station sidecar add Nam Thăng Long–Trần Hưng Đạo with ten planned stations C1–C10. Display badge 2 identifies Line 2; project 2.1 is separate from operating Line 2A. C1 is a surface depot-area proxy, C2/C3 elevated and C4–C10 underground. Red is app styling.
- The revised MRB scope is **10.84 km**, including 1.94 km elevated and 8.9 km underground. The mapped generalized passenger span is approximately **10.58 km**. Old northern C1 geometry, the beyond-C10 turnback, Nội Bài and Thượng Đình extensions are excluded.
- OSM-derived ways **1293863597/1293863599** supply the base corridor; historical JICA chainages locate C2–C8 approximately. C1 follows the revised depot area; C9/C10 follow the August 2025 approved street areas. Named vector-tile streets locate the Hàng Bài / Trần Hưng Đạo junction. These are derived area points, not native stop nodes or a surveyed alignment. Short depot connection and grade transitions are generalized. GeoJSON records URLs, checksums and per-station derivations with ODbL attribution.
- Depot construction is verified by August 2026 reporting; full station/tunnel works are not. The project records under-construction stage but rail/station availability remains planned. The city's 2031 opening expectation and a conflicting 2029 announcement are recorded separately from simulation assumptions.
- C10's approved Line 3 connection targets **S13 Hàng Bài**, now imported by the Line 3.2 continuation and registered as a planned transfer. No C10/S12 transfer is inferred. Existing cards, current-street connection fallback, planning and simulation consume the data without new dependencies or runtime code. No entrances, postal numbers or photos are fabricated. [Full sources, coordinates and limits](../../docs/research/hanoi-line-2-future.md).

# Hanoi Line 5 · Future import · 15 October 2026

- `hanoi-line-5-future.geojson` and `.stations.json` add the initial Văn Cao–Hòa Lạc passenger service. The project has 20 sites; S13 Sài Sơn and S16 Đồng Trúc are reserved for later development, leaving **18 routable stops** with project-code gaps preserved. Older S21 Yên Bài and depot branches are excluded. Blue is app styling.
- Native OSM way/node references from the cached 12 October Geofabrik snapshot supply the 15-way backbone. Published chainages place generalized station areas; newer February 2026 requirements provide road-area updates at S17/S18. URLs, checksums, node ranges, native IDs and derivations are embedded. Monitoring sample coordinates are not imported as station centres. Geographic derivatives retain ODbL attribution.
- Passenger geometry is clipped at S1/S20 reference positions: about **39.05 km**, separate from the published **39.58 km** infrastructure length. The final roughly 453 m source tail is removed. Underground, surface and S9 elevated sections are generalized; minor crossing bridges remain within surface sections. Newer station scope is six underground / thirteen surface / one elevated across all 20 sites; older reports differ.
- Planned transfers connect **Line 2 C5 / Line 5 S1 at Quần Ngựa** and **Line 3 S9 / Line 5 S2 at Kim Mã**, each with a modelled five-minute allowance. The existing graph and continuous preview consume these records without a runtime branch. No other corridor or shared ring-road name creates a guessed transfer.
- Current project stage reflects contract/design preparation. July S3 diaphragm-wall construction is recorded separately from September EPC restructuring and the October pending underground option. Full-route current activity and passenger opening remain unverified. Target completion is 2030. Bilingual area cards reuse compact missing-media states and current-street access fallback. No entrances/photos/addresses are fabricated. [Full scope, coordinates and sources](../../docs/research/hanoi-line-5-future.md).

# Hanoi Line 2A · Future extension · 15 October 2026

- `hanoi-line-2a-future.geojson` retains the original operating alignment and twelve platform aliases, then adds eleven new elevated stations to Xuân Mai Tây. The registry replaces the shorter service in Future only, preserving the existing Cát Linh interchange through aliases.
- MRB August/September consultation notices corroborate 20.1 km / 11 new stops. Newer SZMEDI–TRICC report table 3.2.2-1 and the 39-sheet plan establish S1 Đồng Mai through S11 Xuân Mai Tây. The earlier 12-stop alternative is excluded. Technical documents were recovered from third-party public copies; final approval and construction are unverified.
- Printed VN-2000 control points are transformed and generalized; published chainages are calibrated to digitized S1/S11 areas. Source hashes, control/sheet ledger, conversion parameters and digitization limits are in provenance. No source PDF is bundled.
- New bilingual area descriptions use compact missing-media cards and shared station-coordinate road fallback. Operating photos/access data are inherited. Codes are partial (11/23); retained stations keep numeric labels. No future Line 11/13/orbital interchange is invented.
- See [full source and position record](../../docs/research/hanoi-line-2a-future.md).

# Hanoi Line 3.2 · Future continuation · 15 October 2026

- The existing `hanoi-line-3-future` data now represents Nhổn–Yên Sở, 19 stops. Original S1–S12 geography is retained; seven planned underground stations and a generalized corridor are appended. Today is unchanged. The earlier 12-stop completion record describes the retained 3.1 phase.
- MRB’s project overview supports S13–S19 and the extent; Hà Nội Mới’s 31 May 2024 paper, physical page 3, supplies names and street/landmark areas. Coordinates are editorial proxies based on those areas and OSM-derived named streets, not native OSM station objects. Nine GeoView tile URLs/checksums and the derivation are embedded; OSM/ODbL attribution remains. Yard/ramp tracks are excluded.
- Approximate new passenger span is 8.12 km; full mapped span 20.06 km. Published components total about 21.2 km. The approved C10/S13 interchange at Hàng Bài uses a 300-second app allowance and distinct platform identities. No through-running service, internal walk, entrances, photos or postal numbers are fabricated.
- Planning / feasibility procurement is not railway construction. The extension has no verified passenger-opening date; its phase now records a 2030 completion ambition. The combined service retains an explicitly unknown opening target. End-2027 remains limited to the Nhổn–Ga Hà Nội phase. [Evidence, coordinate table and limits](../../docs/research/hanoi-line-3-2-future.md).

# Hanoi Line 2.2 · Future continuation · 15 October 2026

- `hanoi-line-2-future.geojson` now represents Nam Thăng Long–Thượng Đình, 16 stops. C1–C10 coordinates and path are unchanged; one planned underground section and six station-area proxies C11–C16 are appended. Red and badge 2 remain. Today is unchanged.
- MRB supports the 5.92 km underground scope and C16 / Line 2A interchange. Historical JICA HAIMUD2 table 2.6.6 (physical page 69) supplies six names/codes; the older JICA / TEDI-South figure 4.1.17 (physical page 27) supplies the southern proposed corridor. Five GeoView OSM-derived street tiles anchor geographic areas; URLs, hashes, method and date are embedded. Coordinates are editorial proxies, not surveyed 2026 platforms or native OSM stop nodes. Alternative old numbering and historical opening schedules are excluded.
- Mapped extension passenger span is about 6.036 km; combined span about 16.613 km. Published component lengths total 16.76 km. C16 ends at a distinct hub-area proxy beside Line 2A; no beyond-terminal track, fabricated entrance/photo or internal walkway is imported. A sourced planned transfer uses a 300-second app allowance and resolves Future Line 2A through existing aliases.
- Investment preparation is separate from phase 2.1 depot construction. The 2026–2030 programme and broader 2026–2035 listing do not establish opening. Only phase 2.1 retains the conditional 2031 expectation; phase 2.2 / combined service use unknown targets. [Sources, coordinate table and integration](../../docs/research/hanoi-line-2-2-future.md).

# Hanoi Line 2.3 · Future airport extension · 15 October 2026

- `hanoi-line-2-3.geojson` adds twelve proposed station areas N0/N1/N1A/N2/N2A/N3–N9, nine elevated and three underground, from the JICA February 2020 bridge alternative. MRB corroborates the 19.65 km / 12-stop scope. Proposed rail crossing, airport portal and revised C1 connector are generalized; the old study is not a final approved coordinate set.
- Registry `geographyParts` prepends it to unchanged C1–C16 data, making one red **Nội Bài–Thượng Đình Line 2** with 28 station areas. There is no duplicate C1 or artificial same-line interchange. Today and fourteen existing planned transfer edges remain unchanged.
- Airport/road controls use OSM-derived GeoView vector tiles. Document/tile hashes, URLs, per-stop historical chainages, coordinate method and date are embedded. Area names are descriptive app labels; N1A means proposed cargo area, not a verified passenger T3. No station photo, entrance, house number, depot branch or future Line 4/6 interchange is invented.
- All twelve are planning locations with conditional initial investment, not twelve confirmed opening-day stops. Table 7-3 distinguishes airport-expansion, TOD and investor dependencies. Separate under-study phase metadata and unknown opening target retain that uncertainty. Phase 2.1's 2031 expectation is not applied to 2.3.
- Mapped airport section is about **20.037 km**, combined passenger span **36.650 km**; published component lengths total **36.41 km**. Geometry is not stretched to match project lengths. [Primary sources, coordinate table and limitations](../../docs/research/hanoi-line-2-3-future.md).

# HCMC Metro 4 · Future import · 16 October 2026

- `hcmc-line-4.geojson` and its station-detail sidecar add the October Sovico consultation proposal: **31 stations, 00 Đông Thạnh–30 Hiệp Phước**. Seven northern and nine southern stops are elevated; 07–21 are underground. Drawing labels 00–30 and proposed names are retained; magenta `#C0267E` is app presentation.
- The [published project overview](https://cdn2.tuoitre.vn/471584752817336320/2026/10/1/huongtuyenmetroso4-1-17908296891921809566007.png) supplies 109 manually digitized passenger vertices and 31 station dots. Original SHA-256, sampling dimensions, complete pixel ledger, metric-similarity matrix, approximate geographic controls and context checks are embedded in provenance. OSM-derived controls retain ODbL attribution; drawing rights remain with their authors.
- The **~45.52 km** generalized passenger span is separate from the published **~45 km** project. Two approximate controls do not establish engineering accuracy; deviations can reach hundreds of metres or more away from them. Colour boundaries are generalized tunnel transitions. Depot tracks and the dashed northern extension are excluded.
- Four sourced planned transfer edges connect Bến Thành to Lines 1/2, Nhà Văn hóa Thanh niên to C22 on Thủ Dầu Một–Tao Đàn, and Tân Sơn Nhất to Metro 6 ST03 T1/T2. Every edge uses a five-minute app allowance, not a verified walkway or physical through-running service. Other drawn corridors do not create guessed transfers.
- Bilingual area descriptions reuse existing compact station cards and station-position street-routing fallback; no entrance, postal number or photograph is fabricated. Consultation remains underway through 20 October; Q1–Q2 2027 is a proposed construction-start goal, and passenger opening is unknown. Today excludes this service. Shared planning, playback and composition consume configuration without runtime changes. [Full evidence and derivation](../../docs/research/hcmc-line-4.md).
